I am a reiki master teacher and have been teaching since 1994. However
my first experience with healing was more of a shamanic thing about 30
years ago. Reiki just gave me the way to integrate it into something I
could explain what I was doing and work with it without scaring everyone.

I do believe that the Reiki Attunements given correctly are raising
the Kundalini. And that's why they are so profound to some. That's
the way that I teach Reiki. In actuality Usui experienced and taught
Reiki because of some happening in his life. His family won't talk of
him and his son didn't follow in the same business as is traditional
in Japan or Nippon as the Japanese call their country. (Read some of
Frank A Petter's books on Reiki or even the newest book "The sPIRIT OF
rEIKI BY RAND, PETTER AND lUBECK, tERRIFFIC!

AND.. the symbols! If they are truely ancient then they do have a
resonance. But when one is made up and only a few select people are
using it, It can't have the thought process behind it that gives form
to the thought.

This stuff is not new at all,,, And I don't mean the fact of Ancient
healing, In the 1900's there was an epidemic of healing and
spirituality and Mystics. Ever hear of Alice Bailey, Edgar Cayce,
Madamn Blovoski, The Golden Dawn, The Masons, The Knights Templar? I
have books that are so far beyond our books today its amazing and they
are published in 1889, 1900, 1910 . Have you heard of the Golden Dawn
or the Lotus Healing by Mable Collins.

I think that change in spiritualiy was short circuited by the war,
FEAR and us not having the communication that keeps us on top of
information. The attack on Pearl harbor (1941)was published in a
weekly newspaper in many cities (large ones too)THere was only the
radio. So when the fear factor slid in there wasn't the communication
to allow it to be evaluated on many levels. A big a pain in the *.*
as the media is,they keep us on top of things.
