Subject: [K-list] X vs Y Chromosomes--to Christopher

Hi Christopher,

That puts a good bit of zip in my do-dah! ;^) Ever since I learned about x
and y chromosomes (way) back in high school, it struck me that there was a
missing element somwhere in the equation. So what your telling me is that
the y chromosome developed from the x and the x developed from another
asexual chromosome. I'm no microbiologist, but my girlfriend was one in the
military. Could you forward the author or authors of that research and
perhaps the date?

Your helping me settle a nagging question I've had now for about 22 years.
