Y is actually a derivative of X ..

There is a set of proteins in the X chromosome that determine the
X and the Y. There are actually males around with X-X who are sterile
as there is a predisposition within the X chromosome to attempt to
destroy the Y ..

However, the chromosome most strongly carrying the survival blueprint
protein is in the Y chromsome (gene #38) and this generally wins out
except where there is a womb environment where the mother has a strong
prejudice against male and tries to either change the gender of willfully
abort the fetus.

Most pregnancy issues (toxemia, diabetes, pre-eclampsia etc) have been
shown to be statistically dominant with a male fetus and caused by the
release of an amnio-acid molecule aroung the beginning of the third
trimester from chromosome 38.

It has also been shown that both X and Y were derivatives or an evolution
from a chromosome that is neither X nor Y .. but was "non_gender_biased ..
in other words asexual.

There are, to my knowledge, no Y-Y pairings around, for the simple reason
that, as yet, Y cannot exist in isolation whereas X can.

Now - how does that zip your doo dah .. ?

(oh .. btw .. somewhere I have a copy of the original research that
established
this .. but, unless you have a good grasp of microbiology,
it might be a little hard to read .. )
