There is an interesting little book called 'The Lazymans' Guide to Enlightenment' I read it a Looong time ago. If you can get past the hippy jargon it has lots of good advice for K awakening people.

To me, it sounds like you are doing great! I've always learned the most by following my heart. Sometimes it even leads me to work with a teacher who is walking along the same path, but that's a very rare occurance. More likely I learn and experience lots of stuff that I end up reading about later and saying 'Hey! Thats like what I do (or experience)! I didn't know there were books out about that! '

The shadow side is where we stuff all the things that we don't want to admit or look at about ourselves, and when we clear these little bits come up to be recognized accepted and released.

Sometimes a Big bit comes up and we vibrate like Gonzo. We might even seem to loose all contact with Higher Self, Guides, or what have you (welcome to the Abyss). Afterwards, or during this K rushes in to check it out and we get visions and like the Highlander Dude in the last scene of the movie (except the windows don't break and we might not levitate) we know everything, we are everything, There Can Be Only One!

It's just a part of the movie, sit back and relax!
