Subject: [K-list] Mild Awakening??
From: oooky

On 2002/06/20 10:00, oooky posted thus to the K-list: Hello,
This is my first time posting. A little over a week ago I
experienced what I believe to be a Kundalini awakening. However, my
experience seems less traumatic and violent than many that I have
been reading about.
As an individual, I have always had a pretty sensitive nervous
system, picking up on things that others don't notice as much. I'm
not religious, but over the years I have become more and
more "spiritual" I guess. I have had my fair share of psychic
occurences, but I am not psychic in a super gifted way. Anyway, a
couple of months ago I started getting into Hatha Yoga. My purpose
was just to try a new exercise program. At some point after starting
yoga I started getting vibrational sensations at the back of my head
between my ears. I thought I was feeling lots of mild earthquakes (I
live in California). However, when I would mention this to others,
they weren't feeling them. The big event occurred a little over a
week ago on the night of the new moon (is this related?). I had
already done my yoga session for the day hours earlier. I thought I
would just go in my yoga room and relax. Putting myself in a half-
lotus position I began experimenting with hand movements. Just using
my intuition, I let myself move in positions that looked very
beautiful (not ones that I saw in my yoga manuals). Without warning,
I was in a different mode, like a switch had been turned on. My body
was motionless and glowing a white/golden light. Though I was in the
same location as my body, I was detached. This was something I have
never experienced before. It seemed that the "energy" was increasing
and decreasing and I was sort of controlling this. Although I was
excited, I was also fearful of having an out-of-body experience,
something I don't want to experiment with. Then it was over. My
hands were trembling a bit and I started crying from the magnificance
of what happened. Differing from other peoples accounts, I had no
pain, no sensation from my spine. I have had some neck and backaches
recently, but I figured they were from pushing myself in yoga to hard
(I try to be a gymnast). Maybe they are Kundalini symptoms. Anyhow,
since then, I've continued to have vibrations, sometimes it seems the
whole bed is shaking. In addition, I don't meditate or take drugs.
Is this all that is going to happen? Should I expect more in the
future? I would like to develop some more psychic intuition. Even f
nothing else occurs, I am very thankful to have experienced that
separation. We really are more than our bodies :)
Thanks for reading, love to all, nicole
