Kristy,

Congratulations!! Your friend sounds like he really wants to help you.

Yes your experience is fairly normal, at least among the folks I know around
my neck of the woods who have gotten K a good piece along the path. But then
I'm in the middle of the Cherokee old nation and there are a lot of saintly
Cherokee, and saints from other nations that were here before that, who are
willing to help out people who have made progress by their own efforts, seem
sincere and dedicated, and have potential. For the most part they don't care
about religion or race, just glad to see and help someone who really wants
it and is working for it.

It was a common native way. Your level plus efforts would attract someone to
guide you and help you develop further. A teacher who has clearly made it is
a true gift.

Don't know about the realized ones from Europe or other places but here the
enlightened ones tend to hang around where they, or their people, were when
they were alive. Not like ghosts, they aren't tied to the place but it is
home and they are of an Earth religion so it does fit. And most of the
enlightened ones will be Native Americans because, let's be honest, white
society just hasn't all that spiritual over our history in the Americas.

We keep our personalities for the most part. He would have considered it a
great enough kindness to help you, hugging you wouldn't have entered his
mind, in life or now. No offense but you are being very 20th (21st) century
white western culture to expect lovey dovey. I've met sages in India who
could be real hard asses. But I had a mother, a wife, and a dog, I was going
to them for development, not love and affection of any kind.

As for the feminine/masculine thing, it is all symbolic. God has neither
male or female parts, at least as we use them. You've read some of the
experiences of some of the people on this list. If that K was female it was
naturally B*tchy with the worst case of PMS I've heard of, ever.

Hope and pray he comes back. This man sounds like a good teacher. Again
congratulations.

Namaste,

Joe
