Subject: [K-list] Translating the "wudbeiftheycudbe" people
From: Christopher Wynter

On 2002/06/07 15:56, Christopher Wynter posted thus to the K-list: The Biblical Story tells us how Man was banished from the Garden of
Eden by the judgement he placed upon himself for eating of the Tree
of Knowledge rather than the The Tree of Life.

The Search for Understanding has led Man on many paths of Self
Discovery which all end up with the seeker facing the "Fiery Sword"
- the fruits of this self-judgement which separate personality self
from the Bounty of Self - the Garden of Eden, Camelot, Shamballa,
Nirvana, Atman ...
 One Energy - many names
One of the goals of my work has been to find a Plain English common
language to bridge the gap between the jargon of biology and
psychology and the mystical terms of spirituality and religion. I
have found that, in most cases we are all talking about much the
same thing in much the same language, but the general public is
getting lost in the words that the "experts" have "just made up" in
order to patent their own particular expertise.

Thus I have adopted "a plain man's plain speak" in my attempt to
find a common language.
 The Secret

In every culture and in every time, knowledge of what is "awesomely
referred to as a "Divine Power" dwelling in each human being has
been a closely guarded secret.

The First People knew no sickness. Not until separation entered the
world did people get sick in the body or head. It was then the
medicine man or Shaman, knowing how man was constructed, could tell
what was wrong with a person by examining the "energy centres" of
the body.
Almost all religions or spiritual traditions speak of this Inner
Power in some form or other. Although the names used to describe it
may be different and, although the symbols used to invoke it vary
somewhat from culture to culture, the experience of one's
"Intrinsic Life-Force" or "Inner Whole-E Spirit" is a Universal
phenomenon which has been experienced in all places and at all
times from the most ancient Dream Time symbol of the Rainbow
Serpent.
 This so called "Divine Power"
is nothing more than The Common Sense of the Cell-f.
Traditionally, the knowledge of this energy has been a closely
guarded secret, revealed by the Master to only a few close and
select initiates. It tends to be spoken of in veiled symbolic
language, if it is spoken of at all.
The Hindus call it Kundalini. The Japanese call it "ki", the
Chinese "chi" and in Christianity, it is known as "The Holy
Spirit". In Mexico, Kundalini was worshiped as the serpent-god
"Quetzalcoatl"; the Kung people of the Kalahari called this same
power "n/um".

Communion with it is the essence of Onecell-f - the waft and weave
of the Sacred Tantra of the Tibetan Tradition and the realisation
of the Toltec nagual in touch with his Dreamer.
The American Indians know all about the energy that is awakened at
the base of the spine and rises to the top of the head, but it is
regarded as so sacred that they are forbidden even to pronounce its
name.

The Hopis believe that each human being is created in the image of
"Spirit" but that the door at the top of the head closes and man
falls from communion into the uninhibited expression of his own
selfish will (The mark of "The Beast"). Man must then begin the
slow climb back upward until the door at the crown of the head
finally reopens and he emerges back into the Wholeness of Creation.
The Kung believe that "n/um" is not a physical substance, but is
the instead vital energy or power, a kind of supernatural potency.
They describe trance by saying it feels as though they have a hole
their heads, perhaps two inches wide, which extends like an empty
column down the spine.
One also finds symbols of this energy in myths and legends.

Mercury´s serpent is an alchemical symbol for the process of
psychic metamorphosis. The Gnostics understood the serpent to
represent the spinal cord. In ancient Greek and later, Roman
mythology, we find Asclepius, the god of healing seen holding a
staff which is entwined with a serpent (or sometimes two).

For the Greeks - and modern Medicine, the staff represents the
central support of the human body or spinal cord of the Central
Nervous System which is the physical location of the Hindu
Sushumna.

In Rome Aescaluius represented the messenger Mercury who usually
held a healing staff called the Caduceus. The one or two coiled
snakes or serpents entwined around the staff, represent the energy
of the Tree of Life itself which rises along the central subtle
channel in a spiral double helical movement.
Buddha spoke of the middle path to achieve nirvana as he
described the central channel (sushumna) through which this Essence
ascends.

Later Buddhist masters considered that the existence of the path of
liberation within a human being was the greatest secret which was
only to be transmitted to a few "deserving" disciples.
In the West, the knowledge of this Divine Energy of Liberation has
been transmitted by the esoteric or mystical branches of all of the
great religious traditions.

The knowledge of what some term Kundalini is present in the mystery
religions of ancient Egypt; in the teachings of both the Gnostic
and Neoplatonic traditions; in the Kabalistic traditions of
Judaism; and in the personal testaments of great Christian mystics
like St. Teresa, John of the Cross and St. Augustin.
The "Gnostic Gospels" say there is in everyone a Divine Power
existing in a latent condition. This, the root of the universe, is
One Power divided above and below, generating itself, making itself
grow, seeking itself, finding itself, being mother of itself,
father of itself, sister of itself, spouse of itself, daughter of
itself.

That infinite power exists in two modes one actual, the other
potential.

The Kingdom of God is within you´ (Luke 17:21).
Various secret societies or "brotherhoods" -- such as the
Rosicrucians, the medieval alchemists and the Freemasons -- have
sprung up specifically to pass on the knowledge of this Essence to
a few select initiates.

The Masons speak of the Spirit Fire, that rises through the spinal
column. The Masonic science of human transformation consists of
moving the Spirit Fire up through 32 (the number of vertebrae)
degrees, or segments of the spinal column, whereupon it enters the
skull.
The Poet-Saints of all traditions have written & sung of classical
experiences of the energy of the Tree of Life. One of these poets
was Kabir ..

 Lightning flashes without any clouds.
There is no sun, but there is radiant light.
The Pearl in that realm forms without a shell.

There is no sound and yet, the Word resounds.
All light is put to shame by the Lord's bright radiance.
 The indestructible, unfathomable lies beyond.

Consciousness and Matter

The predicament of most human beings, according to the Cabbalah, is
to identify with Consciousness trapped in matter. Through intense
prayer, meditation and a repetition of sacred syllables, these
buried sparks of Man's Consciousness can be fanned into a blazing
Fire and liberated from their imprisonment in the darkness of
ignorance.

Man's consciousness can be raised until it rests in the crown from
whence the "mystic" attains ecstatic visions and realises his own
Divine nature. In other words, "man wakes up".
The transformation from matter, or darkness, to light and "spirit"
is universally acknowledged as the task of Kundalini, the Divine
Consciousness or Whole-E "Serpent Power" - the Essence of the Tree
of Life that resides within us as the Cell-f Conscious or Common
Sense of every cell of the physical body - all 7 billion of them.
The strength of the Inner Energy of Wholeness - the "Whole-E
Spirit" - our own Common Sense - is what allows us to expand
infinitely so that we can see the whole Universe within our own
Self. This is our own inner "gu-ru" or dispeller of darkness.

Then, we no longer remain a limited, bound creature as we achieve
total union with Universal Consciousness, to stand self reliant
unshakeable and inviolate in the innocence of our integrity.

The drop has merged with the ocean
The "Inner Whole-E Spirit" - in other words the "Life Breath" of
our own intrinsic Common Sense - is there to nourish, to heal and
look after and to give an individual a higher and deeper
individuality.

The manifested power of the Whole-E Spirit of One-cell-f is
absolute purity, auspiciousness, chastity, self respect, pure love,
detachment, concern for others and enlightened attention to give
infinite joy and peace to an individual.
  This, your Birthright,
is the energy of the Spontaneous Spiritual Emergence.
  the energy some call Kundalini

which strikes fear into the heart of the personality ego
which must surrender in death and rebirth
in order for the ego to express itself as individuality
  through words of common sense.

In the words of the one some know as Jesus ..

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,
even as the son of man be lifted up:
That whosoever believeth should not perish
  but have eternal life
