  Hiya Jason,
I'll try and explain myself with an example.
When I was young, and still now, I often found I'D ask myself a
question about a subject that I had not previously thought about
particularly much, only to read or see about that topic again and
again over the next few days. So in the course of a short time I'd
gone from no knowledge of to having the subject as part of my overall
expereince. This often happened with the meaning of words.
Now one could ascribe this to simple receptivity as you only now
notice the subject as you have been thinking about it quite a lot:
the words were always there you just passed over them because you
didn't understand them. One could also ascribe such events to the
Universe speaking to you or giving you hints, as might happen in a
computer game( synchronicity) and be glad of the meaningfullness of
the world and yourself. The third option would be to dismiss all this
as meaningless and just coincidence therby claiming to have learnt
the word thorough the Universe's sheer chaoticness. The similarity in
all these thoughts is that you've still learnt the word that you
didn't know before. The same event has taken place whatever you try
to put behind it.
A fourth option would be to not accept that there is any of the
above explanations because there is no need of explanation. What is
there to explain? There is no meaning but also no not-meaning. What
happens is just the way it is and so is therfore part of what you
are. This is to put yourself behind the event, to use what has
happened for yourself as the only tool's that you have. You certainly
can't use what you've never experienced, so embrace what has. When
coincidence or whatever leads me to certain authors or subjects of
thought or gateway's I don't ask where it came from but instead use
it and absorb it. If I were to question whether it had any meaning I
might be tempted to go another route, one that 'I' had chosen. Or, if
I were to think that it came from God I might never be tempted to
take another route again.
The middle way between these two extremes are what I mean when I
say that everything is talking to me and for me. How could it not be?
