It reminded me of a saying that I remember from the playground as a child.
When another kid would say something like "I want one of your sweets" ... the
respose would be "I want never gets"! The same thing as MAS said.

Is it the same to say... "I would like"?

Or is that the same as wanting. Its a declaration of a 'lack of' whatever it
is...

How else does one get in touch with that that they desire without wanting
it... in order that they can successfully manifest it?

Does anyone have any suggestions.

When I think "I'd enjoy playing that Rolland 4080 Synth" I almost enjoy the
thought of playing the expensive piece of equipment. When I think that I want
it...I feel like I am focusing on the fact that I don't have it. A happier
thought, a happier moment?

Right now though-for the most part at least, I've gratefully managed to set
free any negative feelings of want. This is partially due to, when in want,
we tend to forget about all the bad things getting would bring.

Also, realizing that getting something will only fill you up until you find
something else to want might help. Wanting and getting are two points of a
journey-usually a pilgrimage of material gain, at least in this world it
seems. There isn't anything wrong with that, but you might find your self
living happier if you enjoy the what you do have instead of looking else
where for enjoyment.

Maybe I'll look up a favorite music group of mine on the Internet, and find
out about someone's life, instead of wanting to go buy a new CD to listen to.
Having some clue about who I am listening to, and what they are going through
might make their music more meaningful to me.

Or instead of wanting a new car, maybe I'll just clean the one I do have out,
and pretend it can drive farther than 20 feet wile eating cashews...Maybe
not, but I guess my own two feet mean much more to me than a piece of
machinery. I was lucky enough to not get into an accident when the engine
died on the highway along side of a diesel.

...Hope you see what I'm really saying...
