Good Morning Keith,

Hearing many tones and sounds during meditation is indicative of your more
than one chakra becoming very active simultaneously. Listen for the "Sound
Behind The Sound" to make the aural journey up the the chakra's to the crown.

As it is taught in my kriya yoga class, when five lower chakra's become
active simultaneously, the sixth (third eye) can become active which is
reputed to sound like glorious trumpets which destroy the final barriers to
enlightenment. When the crown chakra opens there is the sound of thunder
followed by the AUM.

The biblical story of Joshua fighting the battle of Jericho is suppposed to
be a metaphor for this experience.
