This is just some collected information on nadis from my favorite Yogi book.
Feel free to pass this over if your already well versed on the subject. :)

According to Swami Vishnudevanada the three most important nadis are the
Ida, Pingala, and Shushuma. Ida symbolizes the moon, Pingala the sun, and
Shushuma the astral self or consumer of death. The Ida and Pingala nadis are
small channels of the subtle body which wrap around the spine several times
(3?). These are the main channels in which Prana, or vital energy flows.
Shushuma is located within the spine and in most individuals is closed and
thus void of Prana.

Ida, the left channel, is associated with the left nostril. Pingala the
right. Healthy persons inhale through one nostril at a time and 'switch'
every 1 hour and 50 minutes. When one channel is dominant, or the person is
unhealthy one nostril will be more active. When Ida is dominant one may feel
relaxed (possibly to the point of lethargy), unmotivated and experiences
chills, but creative and light headed. When Pingala is dominant one may feel
very hot, active, but absent minded or has difficulty with expression. When
the alternative nostril breathing exersize is practiced the nadis are
purified (all 72,000 them and not just the ones in question). Once purified
one may use meditation and Pranayama to fill the nadis with Prana (vital
energy, or life force) and direct the flow into the shushuma or astral nerve
center which is located within the spine. This is what is known as
"Kundalini". (like we dont know that). Shushuma is said to be the consumer
of time, or consumer of death.

However if channels are impure, or blocked when one attempts to push prana
through the shushuma nadi it is said:
"...the awakened power will be uncontrollable and inflict a terrible feeling
of pain and heat upon the entire body."

Soo anyways. Out of the 72,000 nadis only 10 are said to carry prana and
that all Yogic students should be well versed on all of them.

*shrug* more information for us all to ponder

Hi Steve,

I have never heard of a comprehensive list of all K-related side effects.
If
there was one it would surely be growing every minute of every day. :^) You
asked several questions on diet and care of the body. To quote someone,
"Moderation in all things". Eat a healthy diet, lots of veggies are good.
Go for a walk or do yoga, stay away from high impact workouts and fatty
foods. Minimize caffeine and alcohol use.

You mentioned the nadis. I'm not a 100% sure, ( and I'm open to correction
here from anyone) but I believe the nadis to be channels for energy.
Similar to the channels use for acupuncture, only more subtle. I have never
experienced them feeling like "fleshy lumps". However I have felt them
energize and the feeling puts orgasm to shame.:^) I think what you felt
were
the lymph nodes of your body working overtime trying to clear some toxin or
other.

This is all subjective of course. K is exactly that--subjective, it affects
each of us differently.

Good luck with your search and feel better soon,

Jason B
