Parliament Classifies Vitamins As Drugs

Many are outraged at the European Parliament's March 13th decision to
pass the "EU Directive on Dietary Supplements". The directive labels
vitamins and natural remedies such as lysine, chromium picolinate and
selenium as medical drugs rather than the current classification of
"food supplements".

In 2005 it will be illegal to sell these supplements over-the-counter
in every European Union (EU) country. It will be required that those
wanting to use the supplements obtain a prescription from a doctor.
