Greetings to all,

A few questions here that have been plaguing me for a while:

I have often heard of "The witness state" I can understand this cognitively,
but how do you know when you have reached it? I have experienced a deep
peace in and after meditation is this related?

A few days ago I was meditating and a felt a ball of energy form near the
base of the spine and move up and out the top of my head. It felt like it
was about the size of a basketball. There was a physical sensation of
something leaving from the top of my head. I felt it passing across my face
on the way out; as strongly as any physical sensation I have ever had of
something touching my face. This is the second time this has happened. The
first time my lower lip was physically stretched almost up to my nose. It was
just like someone was pulling on my lip and then I felt the energy move up
and out. Bizzare. Anyone have any insights on this? Both incedents were
followed by a sensation of relaxation, mental clarity and peace.

In another meditation I had the sensation of a gentle tapping right in the
center of my head. I don't mean on the skin on the top of my head, I mean
right in the center, midway between my ears and maybe half an inch above
them. Wasn't painful or frightening. Sort of sounded like morse code. It
made me think of the line in the bible, "Knock and it shall be opened to you"
but was it me doing the knocking?

Only once have I ever heard a voice while meditating, ( I posted on this
earlier, it said,
"Begone foul undead thing") but often thoughts will form in my head that I
know do not come from me. The most intriguing one was a question: "Are you
wise enough to live without your fear?" Can wisdom substitute for fear? If
so, how? Do you just become wise enough not to step out in front of the
passing bus? Or if you are really without fear might the bus lose its
abililty to harm you which then begs the question, "Did it ever have the
power to harm you or did your fear merely seem to give it the power to harm
you? What if you were to gain enough wisdom so that you could harness the
power of fear and turn it into the ability to instantly counteract the damage
the bus inflicted on you?

Ok I guess thats enough for now. Wisdom--the correct application of
knowlege.

Love in each moment,
Jason B
