If you have a true Guru, a Kundalini Master, you can get to on a regular
basis, then shaktipat from him/her would be fine. That condition is as rare
as hen's teeth.

Shaktipat can release things you aren't ready for. It can screw you up big
time. Often turns K into a raging bull in a china shop. In 99.9999% of the
cases it should NOT be done. It is much easier to start things than it is to
control them and manage them well. Without a true Guru available to fix the
problems that shaktipat can create you'd be blued, screwed, and tatooed.

Meditation, mantra, pranayama, mudra, asana, etc. take time and are more
boring to people in the west but they are safer by a country mile (and then
some). Blowing out all the fuses can keep you from finishing up this
lifetime as well as make your life a living hell. Take the slow lane!

BTW, the primary purpose of shaktipat is to awaken K. You obviously don't
need that at this point. So you'd be risking screwing things up for less
possible benefit than others who try shaktipat.
