I have been doing a meditation CD to open my third eye chakra. All I can tell you is........that the last time I practised this I had alot of pain in my forehead and head in general. My ability to "SEE" has alread begun to be more reliable before I experienced the pain. So, I too am wondering if these sensations mean that the third eye chakra is finally opening. I did not find it pleasant, at all. Infact, the last time I ceased the practice.

I have not had the redness that I have noticed. But, I have not looked either! Believe me I will NOW.

If there is a way to make this opening less painful, I for one would like to hear what "OTHERS" have done.

  Hiya,

When I am meditating I very often ( as in almost always )
get pulling and stretching sensations in my forehead.
Of course I can stop it by not giving in to it.. but I normally
give into any natural movements and sensations.
I also get this swaying of the head thing that must make
  me
