I went to bed last night thinking about tomorrow, but I was trapped in now.
I woke up this morning, and it's still now. Now I'm at work, thinking about
tonight, but I'm still trapped in now. I remember things from the past, but
it's still now, not then. (Wouldn't it be great if the act of remembering
could actually return us to . . . or the act of imagining could actually
project us into . . .). But no, it's always now, no matter what time the
clock says it is.

Perhaps, even in death, it's always going to be now. And why does now
contain the sound ow? Though I'm having a pleasant enough now, for the
moment.
