Subject: [K-list] There is no God, only Universal consciousness?

Hello all

I've been having 'experiences'. All have always been unexpected, coming to
me at unexpected times. Each has led me up to discover and experience
something different: acknowledging a past life; discovering my 8th and 9th
chakras; exchanging with my spirit guide and meeting a Goddess.

This past Friday, I had the following experience which has left me feeling
confused to say the least. It was very intense, lasted for a long time and I
was disoriented afterwards.

Here is a very short version of what happened.

I saw that the Universe was 'created' quite by accident. There certainly was
no intent to create it.

I had been thinking of my chakras. I expanded them all, one at a time,
including my 8th and 9th chakras, till each encompassed the whole Universe.

Then I enlarged them further till I left the space around the Universe. I
arrived in another space in which our universe was the size of a fleck of
dust.

In this other space, there were clouds of energy (clouds and energy are
approximations of course of what was there). At some places, there was less
energy; at others the energy swirled and gathered together.

Near the center of this space, there were far denser clouds that looked
somewhat like slugs. I did not get the feeling these clouds were conscious;
perhaps only slightly 'aware'.

For whatever reason, the density of the energy in these clouds provoked
phenomena (maybe like dense clouds provoke lightning). One of these
phenomena was the creation of our Universe, but there were other phenomena
created also.

After witnessing this for a while and trying to comprehend just what I was
seeing, I realized that I was not alone in this witnessing. That something
had allowed me to witness this. I asked it who it was.

This something (I was told by it) was the Consciousness of our Universe.
When our Universe manifested itself, it also started to become aware of
itself. It is trying to become more aware and more conscious.

At this point, much information flashed in front of me, much which I can't
remember about how it became aware of itself, how it attempted to become
more conscious. Through stars, planets, through light and dense energy. One
of these attempts at growing consciousness is through humans. I saw
evolution on our planet quickly as matter (dense energy) rising to become
itself aware.

The consciousness wants us to become aware of It and to join It bringing a
different knowledge and awareness. Like fingers becoming aware of the hand,
each finger adding its own awareness of itself and its experiences.

So, what this has left me with is a feeling that there isn't any God, there
was no purpose to the creation of our Universe; that even the Consciousness
of the Universe was an accident. That the Consciousness is behind evolution,
that it seeks to know itself and for us to join it in its quest for
awareness and knowledge as we are part of it and created by it.

But this consciousness is NOT God in the sense that we understand God. It
did not create itself but was created and thus had a beginning. It is not
all knowledgeable but seeks knowledge. It is not all aware, but seeks
further awareness.

I can't help thinking continuously about what I saw and understood. If any
of it is true, I have to rethink the little bit I thought I understood about
everything.

I think of what the Hindus say about the Universe being a dream of Brahman.
Only in my vision, Brahman has never been conscious and he did not intend to
dream up the Universe.

Ooooo heavy stuff!! ;)))

What do YOU think about what I have experienced? Do you have a sense that it
is right? That there is no God other than our own Universe which is what we
feel is God but not in the sense of all knowing and having existed forever?
That the Universe and its Consciousness was created by accident? That means
there is no purpose to our Universe and to ourselves other than becoming
aware that our Universe is Us and that It/we seek to know who we are?
