It is the same in Europe, where I am! So many people struggling with this. I
have tried to run away from it many times - and I can't really manage in a
work situation in the end. I am lucky enough not to have debts and have a
small source of income now.
I live in Holland and we have the highest amount of people that have fallen
out of work because of not being able to cope anymore (stress,
healthproblems, spiritual or emotional crisis) - in the world! Burn-out all
over the place.
Please have a look at those illusions! Foreigners living in Amsterdam often
got and get the freedom to try out other ways of living and being - but in
the end are living on their own little isolated island. It is a way to
escape (you do need a break sometimes - ofcourse!) and try a new life - but
if you know already that it is an escape, like you do, you are halfway on
the right track!

I live in Amsterdam (I am dutch) - but nothing has helped me more in the
last few years than being on this list.
