I hit "reply" in an attempt to post a message to the list here, and the
message may have gone to an individual, instead! So! I would like to
bring attention to the works of Marsha Linehan. She is a psychologist
who synthesized a therapy called DBT, (dialectical behavior therapy).
It is based on Eastern "awareness" techniques and cognitive/behavioral
insights, (among other things).
