Hi Elizabeth and Daniel,

I did some research on the white swirling specks that I started
seeing recently and I found that it seems to be a normal visual
peculiarity.

It turns out that what I see is the blood cells coursing through the
blood vessels of the retina. If you watch carefully they will pulse
in regular pathways to the beating of your heart. I can see it best
when looking at a clear blue sky after meditation or
running.

You may not be seeing the same thing as me but thought this info
might be of help to you.
