Ok, Tony, your karma payment theories regardingSept. 11 bugged me some, but
this little tid bit is
bugging me more. It's the build up of it all.

It bothers me that you would use the WTC
survivors to make your these-people-got
more-money-than-those-people comment.

New York received a lot of money because it was
a sudden, huge disaster... and it happened in
an affluent country, so naturally the relief funds
are in higher dollar amounts.

People, if they have compassion, aren't more
or less compassionate to New Yorkers than
they are to Africans. But wherever you live,
people reach out first to their immediate
neighbors.

For example, If CN Tower fell and killed
thousands of people in downtown Toronto,
a huge charity wave, representative of
the national economy, would pour out from
the people of Canada.

I wouldn't expect Canadians to say, "We
better not let Toronto have any more than
50 million because, shame on us, we didn't
give 50 million to earthquake survivors in
Peru in the 1960s."

You know and I know it doesn't work
like that. I wish it wasn't so. I hope some
day we can all share the world... like that
John Lennon song so eloquently states.

...I feel better now....

I hope my e mail therapy was too much at
your expense, Tony. By the way, I did give
money to an African relief fund a few years
back, I don't agree with US Mid East policy
and I love Canada and Canadians (ok, I'm
covering my ass by telling you that, but it's
true).

My point: Your opinions and perspectives
are valid, but keep in mind that the smoke
and odor of decaying bodies is still rising
from the WTC. Be thoughtful and
considerate.

Your Friend,
