Subject: [K-list] My Thanksgiving gift toYou.

Late last week I was in chat with Augustin, and the topic of the K-list
archives came up. He asked how they were, and I explained that they were as
they have been... the many kind and helpful volunteers had never actually
gotten back to me with any converted archives. He suggested that I ought to
simply abandon the project. Give up.

The next day I thought about it some more, and gave up. Surrendered it,
ya might say. A few hours later, while doing web searching for a program
that would give good javascript code for the work I'm doing on
domin8rex.com, I happened across two inexpensive programs. One is called
Mailbag, and it is a mail sorter that can handle Eudora mailboxes. Sifts,
them, juggles them, and converts them to custom html files... and can
convert 5000 or so emails at a time.

EUREKA!!! After years of searching, I finally find a program that is
actually capable of handing the list archives!!! ... only hours after
giving up... LOL!!

Ya know, one of these days I'm gonna pay attention to that stuff I teach
about the power of surrender... Duh!!

Thank you, Goddess.
Today was Canadian Thanksgiving.
Thank you, beloved Kundalites. Why have I been so stubborn with this?
Because the K-list archives represents an amazing library of kundalini
experiences, awakening stories, and tips on everything one could pretty
much want to know about K. It also represents for me, an amazing journal of
my own path to realization and the expression of many many close empathic
email friendships and relationships grown in this garden that are priceless
to me.

No regrets to the volunteers, I am pleased that I finally was able to
manifest it with my own efforts.

The process has not been effortless... it is 1:20 am. In 10 minutes I
will have been up for 24 hours, Then I conked out babbling, giggling and
mildly hallucinating Sun morning while listening to crows sing and dance on
the roof while druid sang "Putting on the Ritz" like in Mel Brooks
Frankenstien.... and next think I knew it was 1:30 am which explained why
it was not getting any lighter out as I dozed. But, I was up for more than
24 before that... ADD hyperfocus. Getting a bit dizzy now, but I probably
will get past it.

I tend to enjoy mild sleep deprivation... it is sometimes effective for
getting out of my own way.

I'll sleep well, with a sense of accomplishment!

The same geek who wrote the mail program, also wrote a tiny word
processor program that can do just about anything, in any language, and
write template files and scripts for the first program. That learning curve
sure filled up my recycle bin... as I had to delete thousands of files over
and over as I learned the esoteric system by trail and error whilst sleep
deprived just enough to be patient rather than frustrated.

Recently I also got a new webdesign program that can do a search and
replace on several thousand documents at one time. Very handy, as the one
thing this mailbag program did not have was a function for hiding email
addresses from spammers. It is handled. It was also able to handle the
300-750kb index files the mail program wrote for me, so I could chop them
down to manageable chunks.

As I write this, my FTP is spending a long time uploading the 1997, 98
and 1/2 of 1999 to
http://www.fire-serpent.org/k-list/archives/archiv.html

When it gets done, I will sleep soundly.

All of my archives to Dec.31 2000 have been converted, however the
result is well over 100m and the rest will have to wait a few days while I
upgrade my www.fire-serpent.org hosting account to hold it, as my estimates
as to the final size proved to be inadequate... Gosh, we are a prolific
bunch!

Enjoy...

...............................
LOL!! That was hours ago... there were a few bugs to work out once it was
uploaded... like, editing all of the monthly index pages to correct a few
tiny errors like a " mark missing from a whole page of link tags.

Yes, it is incomplete and there are probably more errors, but I do not
want to know about them till some time next week...

Sigh, yes I am babbling geek speek been like that for a while now.
Well, preferable to ranting I think... :)
Actually I am incredibly delighted with my last few days work... all
that and a roasted turkey too. babble babble... oh pretty fractals!
