Hello New Bee,

Good questions. I'm not the expert, but I'm sure many will agree
that progress can be made without doing chakra "work" or even
being aware they exist. I see the charkas as simply focusing points.
They reflect the way we are built.... stacked up body and spirit.

A lot of people clear chakras without knowing it. They become
aware of area's of dysfunction in their lives and instead of just
putting a band-aid on things, they seek a change within themselves.

As life goes on, new levels are cleared and eventually, like
Maslow hierarchy of needs pyramid leading to "self actualization,"
a person becomes whole. We call it "awakening" or "emergence."
"Enlightenment" is seldom sued these days as implies something
not available to everybody.... what I like to call the *glowing orb*
stuck high in a tree, out of reach from the average person.

Awakening through Kundalini is taping directly to the source. But
it's not something you just plug into or a pill you swallow. It's
something you have to be ready for. When and how is a very personal
matter. Only Goddess knows the time and place.

My opening happened during the year that my life was in ruins.
I'd been addicted to hard drugs, homeless and physically ill.
Two months after detoxing I began having horrific dreams and
visions of death similar to what Sean is going through. That
lasted a few days. A month later I began Tai Chi in the morning
and simply asking the universe for direction as the sun rose.

I was also contemplating the sixth step of AA, "being entirely
ready." It was a Friday afternoon when I had discovered
my journey reflected in a cryptogram involving 6, 7 and
other numbers within 12 (it was highly personal and probably
would be meaningless to anyone else). A couple hours later
a sat up, put on my shoes and began to leave for lunch. About
six feet from the door of my cabin..... I entered another
dimension.

That moment of ecstasy defies all attempts to describe it.

What followed was five days of visions and almost a month
of classic K psychosis. I was nuttier than a can of Planters
Dry Roasted.

I can laugh now, but there really were some very difficult
and lonely days adjusting to my new life (yes, ears ringing
and sleepless nights).

New Bee, I hope your path wont be as rocky as mine had
to be. This list is a treasure trove of information, love and
understanding. You don't have to torture yourself like I did
to reach a new level in life.

Try on every hat.

Surf the world.... just watch out for the rocks....

....and make sure you make it back for supper.

We'll be here.

Nameste,
