Jung's my hero! Had four years Jungian based psychotherapy - amazing
stuff - the night journey, alchemy, dream analysis, mythology etc etc is
just the right framework for me to work within. Love Star Trek too and
always suspected there was a bit of Jung going on there! I'm a scriptwriter
myself.

No - dope just made my paranoid. Figured I already had few enough filters
between my conscious and unconscious without knocking even more holes...
Confirmed when I ate half a space cake in Amsterdam and had a VERY BAD TRIP.

Yes - when I first began I experienced bliss/mystical experience in brief
intense 5 second long flashes. Don't get them any more - lasted 3 years.
Over the subsequent years a deep sense of inner happiness has slowly taken
root (VERY SLOWLY!), and the realisations of those initial flashes become
part of your everyday consciousness. Emotions still come along to stir you
up, but you have more control over them. They no longer overwhelm, and
subside faster. (And I am a VERY emotional person)

There seem to be people who seek absorption with the ultimate, loss of self,
turning away from the world - and those who seek union - to be united, yet
also fully individual, enabling to function more fully in this world. Have
I got this right?? Any opinions on this? I'm a union type myself. I have
absolutely no desire to turn away from this world - but an intense desire to
unite with it as fully as possible and be fully myself (individuated as Jung
would put it)

Cheers
