Dear Denise,

Over the last week I was one of the more vociferous Americans who
spoke up about what you are talking about. I have known Mystress for
a long time, since about 1996. One thing she is, among many to me, is
my dear sister who happens to be Canadian. I know she does not hate
Americans and some of her dearest Beloveds are American as some of
mine are Canadian. I know there are some American policies she does
not like (just like me) but she has spoken in the past about other
different national goverment policies (including her own) with
dissatisfaction. She also has been persecuted because of some of her
government's dissatisfaction with her. She is an equal opportunity
disagreer.

It is because I know how big her heart is and how filled it is with
love, I don't have a reaction to her sometimes anti-american foreign
and national policy views. She is also an equal opportunity lover.
She loves those who are unpopular to love and speaks her mind even if
it is unpopular. That makes her a very valuable friend in my book. I
depend on her ability to do this. She will tell me what is so, even
when it is an unpopular or inconvenient and would cause other people
to abandon friendship with her. I appreciate this character quality
of hers immensely.

I loved your personal history Denise, it moves me. It is people with
stories like this that provide balance, richness, and texture to the
fabric of the k list. I hope you stay.
