hi friends,

of course, this tragedy hits those who have suffered and died, and their
families and friends, most of all... but it hurts us all, as we feel it
filter through the collective consciousness, which is also so heavily
stimulated by massive media attention to this event... and of course,
the economic and political implications are enormous... unlike with the
massive earthquake in India earlier this year, which probably took a
much greater human toll, (just a guess)...

yet still, i can't help but wonder if from the point of view of the
whole world, do you think that many more people suffered and died
yesterday, than the amount of people who suffer and die in this world
every day? i really don't know, but this thought just keeps coming back
into my awareness...
