Subject: Reply [K-list] Doctors reactions to Kundalini

Greetings,

This is not really a doctor's reaction to Kundalini
but a psychiatrists reaction. First a brief history
of how I first ended up going to a psychiatrist.

I was in a car accident. It wasn't that bad but I hit
someone head on that turned right in front of me. The
air bag deployed and I suffered from neck pain for
years afterwards. I used to be very thick headed and
sometimes Goddess has to really bonk me hard to get me
to do anything. Immediately after the accident, I
started to study and learn of spirituality. (I grew
up x-ian but too much was missing so I started looking
more inside myself to see how I felt.)

All of these fears were coming up and they manifested
in an EXTREME fear of driving and even being in a car.
 I started seeing a psychiatrist for the fear of
driving. Goddess supplied me with a psychiatrist one
block from my house that was a Shaman no less. (I had
just picked a name out of the yellow pages and I know
Goddess led my eyes to that choice.) He did not
openly talk about being a Shaman (he did not need to
cause as I grew spiritually it became more obvious)
but he helped me more than anything in the spiritual
growth department. He also had told me while I was
seeing him that he was going away for a couple weeks
to South America for a meeting of Shamans. Kinda like
a *hint, hint* sort of statement. LOL

The more I learned where my fears were stemming from,
the easier it was to release them, and the less I had
neck problems. We never used the term Kundalini or
awakening but we both know that is what I was starting
at that stage in my life.

I beleive that Goddess will supply you with the right
medical/spiritual person for you at that time in your
growth. I am thankful for this person because it made
my initial awakening and falling apart of my marriage
(divorce) go much smoother.

I hope this story is a little bit like what you are
looking for. I know I have not been treated by a
regular doctor that understood my neck pains. (One
doctor gave me 4 series of injections of cortisone in
my neck. Didn't help at all but releasing my fears
cleared the pain right up.)
