when experienced and viewed wholistically makes perfect sense . Could it be
otherwise since it is a real experience.
The fear we encounter is that which has been layed down early in our
developement ie. before the child can put itself in the place of the other
it experiences things out of proportion to reality. The perceived loss of
the mother's affection is a life threatening experience. Our more reality
based consciousness is built upon this early state. The unconscious fear is
the reason for the creation of our ideal image. The doubt of our being is
ever ready to plunge us into states from which we run. We are on the
treadmill trying to fullfill our created image. No one wants to be a fool a
loser we must win the rewards that society deems important.
It is when the treadmill comes to a stop that one might enter into that dark
night of the soul the cave of the phantoms and face that unconscious fear ,
the fear of death.
In my own case as I'm sure it must be a, crushing depression was part of the
experience.Depression is a compression of energy, and if one goes with the
pain maybe the energy will be enough to bring forth those phantoms from the
unconscious. This is where the knowledge of Jung and Joseph Campbell is
instructive. I wont get into the whole story of the two scenes I encountered
that night almost 23 years ago.The two scenes were of opposite nature one
moonlit the other was golden sun.In one I was lying and moved my head in no
no no as I faced the fear that would surely kill me.In the other I was
running from the screeching gargoyles. I escaped and I knew I was free.
Do you have to face fear twice, I dont't know. Could any others comment on
this . We have two aspects of our nervous system the sympathetic and
parasympathetic. The k energy is supposed to have two aspects . It wasn't my
intention to go into my full experience at this time but to give some
insights regarding this crucial aspect.
How instructive such information might be I'm not sure , in fact I can only
hope that it is of some help and doesn't prove harmful in any way.
