I was involved with someone like that also when I was new to all of
the spiritual things happening to me,and searching for answers,but
also at the point of being so filled with love,as it was so new to
me,so everything was all rainbows and light at that point...but this
person had much knowledge and power...and I admired that in him,I
felt he was "above" me in knowledge and I thought that made him
powerful...and he was a powerful personality...it was hard to
seperate from him...but I did.It took a long time for me to see the
truth about him...but it was shown to me over and over again...so
after completely seperating myself from him I realized that yes he
had much knowlegde and yes much power...but he was missing something
that is vital in spiritual completeness(for lack of a beter
term)...and that was Love...see I believe that there must be a
balance of love,power and knowledge..these three things must be there
(at least for me)...and without these three balancing factors,there
will be imbalance(of course*L*)So what I'm saying I guess is it is
very easy to be sucked in by someone with knowledge and power,but I
feel without the balance of love(within that person),that power and
kowledge only lead to pain,for the person and for others that are
close to them....Its just like alot of famous "sexy" rock stars for
example...especially the angst driven ones,that are negative in their
music,they exude a powerful sex appeal...and its easy to be attracted
to that power...but what would it really be like to be in a
relationship with them?
so anyway...I know for me,when I think of being in relationship with
someone,and about who they are as a person,especialy if you are
wanting to have a serious relationship,with spirituality being at the
center of the relationship...I ask myself about these three things in
balance with them...knowledge power and love...but to me love is the
most important:)....another way I look at it is do they know god
within?....which I think is knowing love within....because if they
dont,they can't really give love,because they dont "own" it
theirselves....so this person may give you knowledge,and may be a
powerful force in your life,but does he know love too?
And btw,I don't feel like I want to change what happened with me,as
it taught me so much...so maybe now it is the time for you to gain
the wisdom from your experience with him.The wisdom I gained from my
experience is priceless.
