Well, putting on such an event would be a lot of work, so offers of
help are appreciated! What comes to mind right away, is that I will
eventually need to know exactly how many people are attending, so that I
can know how much space we need.. for the Prophets convention, they rented
space at the Victoria University, the dorm housing and a theatre for
presentations. The rooms there were very inexpensive, but comfortable and I
could arrnge to do the same thing here at UBC. If there were to be 50
people attending, I would want to go that route.. alternatively, there are
a few parks/campsites around that can be rented for a weekend, spend time
among the big trees.. :) People could bring their own camping gear, or
tents and mattresses, etc, could be rented.
If there were only 5 people attending, I'd arrange for everyone to stay
at my house. BTW: Jerry had been having a similar convention this August,
not sure when it is, if it is over or still coming. Knew I could not make
it so I didn't keep track. When is that, Jerry? How did it go?

I did have a great time.. and I'm still recovering from it.. LOL!!!
Whenever I spend time in crowds, I inevitably end up picking up a lot of
stuff.. karmic junk from other people. So, I have to spend part of today
clearing out the rest of that, relaxing and meditating.. off to the beach,
maybe..:)
I saw some fabulous speakers, and had a nice chance to speak to a few
of them in person. the first speaker I saw was Hunbatz Men, he is a Mayan
Elder who will be leading a Mayan Mysteries initiation trip to Mexico in
September.. Later, i had a chance to tell him about my own Mayan Shamanic
initiation at Chichen Itza in 1993, and he invited me to attend a
convocation of female Shamans here in Vancouver next month. That looks
interesting.. :)
Next I saw Hank Wesselman, he wrote "Spiritwalker", which had a profound
influence on me understanding my own Shamanic initiation in Mexico. Had a
couple of opportunities to speak to him later, he is a delightful man. Gave
him a hug and he sighed at the love and thanked God for bringing him me! So
sweet.. I thanked Goddess for him and his books. :)
Those were the only two speakers I went to on Friday, later regretted
not going to see Greg Braden, as I heard his presentation was wonderful. I
was not familiar with him, but he is a scientist/physicist who has done a
lot of work for the big space agencies, and has been studying a lot of
ancient religions and documents like the dead sea scrolls, and finding
congruencies with modern physics, the hologram, etc. Bought 2 of his books
to bring home to read. I did see him later at a panel discussion, and he
was very eloquent although unfortunately I fell asleep through part of that
one.. a little overwhelmed by the crowd. Before I fell asleep, I was
looking at the auras of the panel with my eyes closed, and Greg was
invisible.. ascended.
One speaker who I had really come to see, was Robert Anton Wilson.. a
social satirist who I think of as the wisest man of our times. He was
hilarious, opened by saying that he had to stop being agnostic because he
had nothing to say while getting a blow job.. "Ah, random chance!".. just
didn't sound right..:)
Went to see Edgar Mitchell, he was an astronaut who was in the Apollo
program, one of the few men to walk on the moon, and founder of the Noetic
Institute.. afterwards, I caught up with him on the way out to tell him my
version of the Unified Field theory.. he said, "I cannot disagree with any
of that".. very diplomatic..:) His aura was a thin bright pillar of light
with a star in the center.. lovely!
After that was a lunch break, and then a panel discussion. with several
authors, including James Redfield (Celestine Prophecies), Hunbatz men and
Hank Wesselman. At that point I started getting a bit impatient.. There was
so much discussion of how "other people" have to change to "save the
world".. yadda yadda.. overall, I found a lot of the presenters and
attendees during the weekend to be in that mode of thinking.. not quite far
enough along the path to see perfection in what Is.. and of course I was
not seeing perfection in them, either, at that point. :)
Wim was there, and busy busy doing work with people using his Aurastar
computer. I must say, Wim looks Fabulous!!! He looks about 10-15 years
younger than last time we met, and his white hair is turning dark again.
Great energy, so playful! When he had a moment unoccupied, I sat down and
put my hand on the diagnostic reader, and he pointed out where I was
getting a little overwhelmed by so many speakers, and the crowds mixed
energy, and where in my energy my impatience with the level of thinking I
was encountering was showing up. He also pointed to a purple cloud of
"Mother" issues on one side of my body. There was a family reunion this
weekend that I managed to wriggle out of, even though I was under quite a
lot of pressure from my family to attend. Great to see him again.
Spent a lot of time just schmoozing, talking with the other attendants
and doing a bit of healing or energy work whenever I felt called to it.
Funny, I get so used to the ease of manifesting miracles from a state of
surrender, it was nice to appreciate them anew through the amazed reactions
from those I worked on.
One person asked me to help with a problem he had, overwhelming
tintinitus (sp?) in one ear from working with a badly tuned Peruvian
whistling vessel 12 years before. Kicked out a mischevious faerie who had
been manifesting the lesson "Be careful what you pray for" and did a few
other things, then asked the guy to tune into his own guidance to confirm
that the source of the problem was gone and his ear would be fully healed
in 6 weeks... aside from the normal ear ringing "OM" that most of us
associate with energy flow and altered states of consciousness. Apparently
the guy had gone to hundreds of healers over the course of 12 years trying
to heal this, and before me, there was only one who had been able to reduce
it, at all. It took a bit of persuasion to get him to see that the
tintinitus had been a gift, as the path of him looking for a cure had been
the path that led him into a deeper spiritual quest.
One of the nicest validations I got from the weekend, was the
realization that I am more than ready to be a world class presenter on the
level of those I saw at the event. What is missing, is that every single
speaker there was also an author.. so I am newly motivated to get back to
work on my books.
Today tho, I think I might head off to the beach.. :) Clear the rest of
the stuff I picked up, and prepare myself for the camera, tomorrow. I am
being interviewed on camera for a BDSM film documentary tomorrow afternoon
and I need to be well rested and prepared to eloquently respond to the list
of questions the producer sent me last week. Some of them are so general it
would take a novel to respond adequately, so I need to think of a "sound
byte" that will encapsulate my thoughts. Then, of course, surrender all the
preparation and let Goddess speak through me. :)
