On 2001/08/09 08:02, Hbarrett47 posted thus to the K-list: Leaf -- You're very sweet and you don't need to apologize for everything you
say! I think Lobster is right, people are still people even when kundalini
starts to rise. Maybe ESPECIALLY when kundalini starts to rise. All kinds
of psychological grit gets exaggerated so that it can be released. We begin
to swell up with Goddess and, for a time, our egos get swollen too -- then we
can really see how much suffering the ego can cause (shame and
self-deprecation are a kind of egotism, too). We think, I'm gonna become
perfect and magnetic and be a teacher and write books and give shaktipat to
thousands. Well, there's a saying that you aren't fully enlightened until
you've lost the desire to teach. I don't think this is completely true
because some people are called to teach and I don't think there is anything
such as being "fully enlightened" because God is infinite and the poor human
body can only tolerate so much. But I do feel that God-realization is
actually the most exquisite sort of ordinariness. Learning this has given me
much joy and allowed me to let go of a lot of misery. Love, Holly
