Dear List,

For those of us having astonishing dreams, I thought this might be of
interest! :)) I'm currently reading *The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep*
by Tenzin Qangyal Rinpoche. Finding the book was a bit of a synchronicity,
too. I was having coffee with a friend in downtown Berkeley, and we decided
to walk to the nearby park after rejecting the idea of walking the other
direction to browse in a bookstore. But on the way to the park a new
"Tibetan" store had just opened up. I wanted to buy something, so was
browsing the small book selection and there it was! :))
This also speaks a bit to og's question: "While I'm at it - could anyone
suggest
>Buddhist literature related to K awakening,
>particularly Tibetan? There's so much available in
>the Hindu tradition but I can't seem to find anything
>specific in the Buddhist."

There is also Tarthang Tulku's *Kum Nye Relaxation* which I was given years
ago and plan to read shortly. I seem to be in my Tibetan Buddhist phase! :))
complete with a recent dream of a Buddhist initiation of some sort! LOL. It
was complete with altar and full regalia. I think I was being initiated into
something! A couple weeks before that I dreamt I was hit in the mouth by
monks or gurus who were walking down an aisle and a voice said "yogini
arisen" Dream Shaktipat???

From The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep:

"In order to fully develop dream yoga, there are four tasks that need to be
accomplished in sequence: 1) bringing awareness into the central channel, 2)
cultivating clear vision and experience, 3) developing power and strength so
that we will not become lost, and 4) developing our wrathful aspect in order
to overcome fear. These tasks correspond to the four qualities of
dreams--peaceful, joyful, powerful, and wrathful--and to the four sections of
the practice."

Developing the wrathful aspect is a novel idea for me! The book so far is
quite interesting.

BTW, thanks J for your incredibly beautiful Bliss post! :))

"There is a state of mind, wherein one experiences one's self as being
a perfect sea of bliss..."

Love, Hillary
