It is universal. It has to do with the nature of perceptions..
everything we sense, see, touch, taste.. etc., comes in our senses as basic
data input and gets translated by the unconscious into information our
minds can understand.. and it also gets filtered and changed by all of our
beliefs, opinions, attitudes and past experiences.. before it registers on
our consciousness.
So, someone who hates red cars because they got run over by one once in
the past, will see a red car.. and the input will be "red car horrible
scary yucky." The car just Is. It is not even really red, it just reflects
red light. A colorblind person who has never been in an accident will see
it differently.. or possibly not notice it at all.

So, anything you see, you are not seeing it objectively.. directly.. if
you did it would make no sense.. this computer screen would just be a
pattern of lights hitting the back of your eyeballs with no meaning, not
even a name: computer screen. Instead you look and it appears instantaneous
that you know it is a screen and you know it has words and what the words
mean, and what you think about them.
That same filter also makes the computer screen .. even less, the word
you read occupy the whole of your vision and blurs the peripheral into
nothing, .. it is selective according to what you think is important.
Everything else gets tuned out.. the peripheral, and also probably smells
and the feel of the chair under your butt, minor aches and pains, and
unimportant noises go completely un-noticed. You are not hearing the hum of
your computer or the distant rumble of traffic outside. Your ears are
hearing it, but your unconscious is blotting it out.
Of all of the input from your senses, you are only consciously
receiving about 2% that is the light pattern of the words I write.. the
sentence you are reading at this moment. more perhaps, because I drew your
attention to it. The other 98% of your universe, at the moment, is filled
with what you think about the words. With stuff that is all about you. Your
thoughts.
This happens, all the time. with everything.. you are blind, deaf and
unaware of most of the environment, except that which your ego thinks is
important and what opinions you have about it. The opinions are the larger
part. 98% Only a tiny percentage of your perceptions are involved with what
actually Is..
What you see, is about you.. who you are and what you think.

So, there can be no objectivity.. you are seeing your self, your ego
reflected in everything that you perceive.

The only way to get even close to something like objectivity, is if you
are out of your ego, in the witness state.. and even then, your input will
be processed through your understanding.. and what you understand, is also
all about you.
A psychiatrist would process in psychiatric language, while I process
in spiritual language. We may see the same thing.. the same situation or
dynamic and actually agree, but we will still express it differently.

More specifically, if you see something that bugs you.. you are the one
that is bugged.. it is your issue. Stuff that we have no issues about, does
not register irritation and there is no need to criticise.. You can clear a
lot of stuff by criticising and then turning around and applying the same
criticisms to the mirror.. which is really all I do, in teaching people. I
notice their criticisms and I know that they are what they judge, and
reflect it back to them.

Carl Jung described the ego as who we think we are, and the "Shadow
Self" as "everything we think we are not".. the stuff we do not like about
ourselves, we project outwards, onto our environment.. yet, through the
collective consciousness, we are everything and everyone. We are shadow and
ego and collective All.

Ego makes a separation of individuality.. when the 2 year old child
learns to say "I", "You" and to say "no".. before that, it has no sense of
separation, it is amazed to discover it's foot is part of its body. If you
cry, probably the baby will cry too..

In a larger sense, from an enlightened perspective, I am All that Is..
It is all me, there is no other.. So, I am still talking about myself.. there
is nobody else to talk about.. and sometimes I laugh when I write what
appears to be a critical post, because I see it as self depreciating humor..

Kundalini psychosis? Takes one to know one. I know all about it, I did
my time wanting to save the world.. being the super enlightened being who
was come down to Earth to .. well, yadda yadda..you get the picture. And it
is a joke, the world is fine. I was just insecure and needed to tell myself
stories about my specialness to feel better. These days I am more
comfortable, being nothing.
 Blessings..
