Subject: [K-list] Can We Believe-o-matic?

Thanks Cat,

 That was fun. I think we've done the Belief-o-matic quiz before, but my
results have changed. This time it came up with:

1. Unitarian Universalist
2. New Age
3. Neo Pagan
4. Liberal Quaker
5. Buddhist

um... (I scratch my head), I guess that makes me a nice, easy going kind
of fellow. If I had the time, I'd like to play around with the Belief-o-
matic quiz and punch in answers that I think belong to a belief other
than my own and see what results come up. Of course, the answers will
only be as good as the person who designed the program.

I still scratch my head.... although I scored high on Unitarian, Pagan
and New Age, I never fancied myself in those (or any) categories. But I
kind of like the idea of a Liberal Buddhist Quaker... it's got a nice
ring to it.

I can just see myself wearing a Colonial hat, harvesting corn on a
Pennsylvania farm... believing as I do and letting others believe as
they choose. Some days I would ride into town and serve the community
with grace and civility. In the evening I would return to my farm and
before I went to sleep, I would take a handful of leaves and smell
them... giving thanks to Heaven for this experience of bliss in the here
and now and for and to the Earth in all Her Goodness.

I blow out the candle and fall into a deep sleep as stars drift by my
window...

"Paul.. Paul!... wake up!"

   "wa... what? what?"

"You fell asleep on your computer and started mumbling stuff about wheat
and corn and world peace and on and on. That's nice, but Mr. Clumski's
gonna be real pissed if we don't get this order out... it's the Twenty
First Century, ya know?"

  "I know... it's ok."
