    Well, first of all, the higher purpose o the event was obviously so you
would spend time being aware of how you were blind to your actions.
Second, being stolen from and feeling bad about it, is a lesson in
attachments. I have heard there is a group of Yogis in India, who mug
people in order to show them the foolishness of being attached to material
things. Dunno what that does to their Karma.. :)
Karma is a tangled web, we can never really see al the ripples of any
action..
