Similarly, I found the works of dead architectural masters quite
educational as a student, but I will never receive their clients or their
commissions, or live in their days. I also found the works of living
architectural stars to be exciting, but their lives are not my own. I found
that once I let go of all of their thoughts, and their thoughts percolated
down through my professors, and their thoughts ingrained in my approach,
that the center upon which all of these thoughts agglomerated was, is,
shall be, really very clear and creative. It is from this center that all
my truest work comes.
