On 2001/04/29 19:13, Fiona Tulk posted thus to the K-list: And why,

  prey tell Rodrick

should I believe the words of another faith ..

which I would then superimpose on top of
any unresolved issues which I may have
with the faith of my childhood and my upbringing...

The words and beliefs of a faith or religion enter the very
core of the psyche .. and can not be taken off
like Sundays church dress ...

especially when one is baptised into that religion
with their given name

and the very same English words used in this new faith
have their origins in the religion which has ruled my life
and the lives of 35 generations of my biological ancestors.
