Hi Shelly and Everyone on Kundalini Gateway,
Just joined your group and Shelley's post was the first I read. It struck a chord.
I live in Australia and have a great respect for snakes, we have some very deadly ones here. And yes, they appear in dreams too.
I was bitten some years ago by a swamp tiger that I stood on. Lifted it off my knee and received no treatment - had no ill effects. Strange for a deadly venomous snake.
I accidentally stood on the very tip of the tail of a Eastern Brown (highly venomous). It didn't like that at all and stood up to me. It's head was about level with my navel. I apologized to it in a most English manner (an in shock response) and talked to it as I lifted my foot off its tail. I asked it to lay under a nearby tree and I would go on my way and not disturb it again.
It hung in the air, weaving its head before me, its tongue actually flickering on my arm from time to time then slowly sank to the ground and curled itself up at the base of the tree. It watched me go past but made no attempt to hurt me, and it was the breeding season when they are aggressive.
I was out checking mares for foaling each time I've had snake encounters, most snakes I just speak to and go past and I've never had to worry about them.
As to the Kundalini - I had the awakening about twenty years ago after many frustrating years of preparation. Since then a lot of strange things have happened around me, most of which other people have witnessed.
One of the benefits I appreciate the most was in meditation. To be able to bring the energy up to open in the lotus and actually see the petals unfold is so awe-inspiring. The most beautiful image I still hold in my mind is seeing the daintiest little dancer rise from the centre of that lotus and begin to dance.
Oh yes, I nearly forgot. I can communicate with ponies mind to mind. That was another great benefit because I breed horses. Its handy if one of them is sick or a foal lost.
Love to you all
Sheila
