Maybe so, Wim... maybe so.

Okay...here's where that comes from:

The cacao tree (the cacao beans, of course, where chocolate comes from)
is called Theobroma cacao...

Theobromine (Gr., theos, god + broma, food) is the "bitter, crystalline
alkaloid, C7H8N4O2, extracted from the leaves and seeds of the cacao
plant, used in medicine as a diuretic and a nerve stimulant: id is
closely related to caffeine and is also found in cola nuts and tea."

A recent discussion on another list was where I first read this.

So the botanist who named the Cacao tree was a chocolate fiend, apparently!

Kath (imitating a quasi-scholarly type...whee!)
