In my outbox is a post I started writing Feb. 13, just before the long
phase of too much dreaming started. Here it is:

<<I had a dream last night which is a recurring theme, usually it comes
once or twice a year.
The basic theme is of me being inundated with huge numbers of reptiles
I have to take care of. My boa gives birth, or I open a pet shop, or..
whatever the details, I am in a position of trying to care for all these
reptiles ... usually about 50-100 critters who have escaped their aquariums
or whatever, and are running around loose in my home/store, where ever. The
basic theme is me trying to deal with enormous numbers of reptiles that
have erupted into my environment. Usually I am in the position of having to
care for them, feed them, protect them from predators and frightened
people. I'm trying to catch them all and put them back into aquariums or
habitats where they will be safe. I like reptiles, so usually these are not
scary dreams, except that I am concerned for the critters.

I don't know what the dream means, although snakes are an obvious
Kundalini symbol.. only that it appears in some form about every 3- 6
months or so.
This time, there were several large aquarium/terrariums in my living
room, which resembled the living room in the house I grew up in, except
there was a glass fronted room in one corner which several half built cages
in them, which was to be the destination of all of the reptiles when it was
completed.
In the dream, I set out to clean the aquariums, which were dirty like a
microcosm of a swamp. They were all in a condition of neglect, and had not
been cleaned in a long time, and turned out to hold far more reptiles than
they were originally intended for... and some of the reptiles were
escaping. One aquarium was full of anoles and iguanas, and some frogs which
were snacks for the iguanas, which seemed to be starving. It seemed at once
odd for there to be so many iguanas, but at the same time like there should
have been more: they apparently had been eating each other out of neglect.
I felt badly for neglecting them, and yet since I did not know about them
before the dream, guilt seemed rather misplaced. I was trying to repair the
situation. The other aquariums held large numbers of snakes, mostly boas
and garter snakes, but also a few small alligators. Mostly babies, the
largest of them was about 4 1/2 feet long.
There was also this funny short bald guy in a suit, and he seemed like
someone who might be complaining to the SPCA about the condition of neglect
in the aquariums, and also kind of freaked out that I would keep reptiles
in the first place. I mostly ignored him, because I was too busy trying to
fix things and figger out where all the extra reptiles had come from, keep
them in their cages, and also protect them from other animals that seemed
to be getting into the cages to snack on them.
In the snake cage I found a raccoon, chowing down on any snake it could
catch. I was so pissed at this, I hauled it out of there, and when it bit
me I grabbed it's head and pulled it's mouth open till I broke its jaw,
disregarding its sharp teeth and likely hood of carrying disease. Then I
tossed it outside to starve to death.
This bit of symbolism makes some sense, because I had fallen asleep
wondering if the ache in the back of my heart chakra was from someone
feeding on my energy. The raccoon is symbolic of a thief...

When I went back to the snake cage, there was a large brown pig, a pot
bellied boar who had somehow burrowed halfway under the glass and was also
chowing on snake meat...most of the snakes were missing, and I feared for
the pet snake I have in real life, then remembered that she was safe
elsewhere... which is typical of these dreams, as if to emphasise that the
dreams are symbolic reptiles, not about my real pet. The pig was having a
taunting conversation with the largest alligator, a specimen about 4' long,
who had managed to climb into the roof of the cage, out of the pigs reach.
The pig was trying to persuade it to come down and be eaten. I hauled the
pig out by the back legs and may have slaughtered it to feed the other
reptiles.. not sure, I was starting to wake up by then.. A talking pig
seemed like perhaps too valuable to use for meat, I could sell it to buy
rats.. but I was angry that it had eaten some of the snakes. >>>>>>

A few weeks later I had a dream that my younger brother and I were
living in my older brother's apartment, and small reptiles and snakes
started coming in the window. They were very cute, so I started setting up
habitats for them. Near the end of the dream I went outside and discovered
the upstairs neighbor was breeding reptiles and they were escaping and
climbing down the stucco to our window. He did not seem to mind me adopting
the ones that came in the window.

Now that I think of it, last night I dreamt I was at a flea market, and
I bought a large aquarium full of swampy vegetation and different kinds of
frogs.. exotic frogs, one bright pink frog was being eaten by a large toad,
and I could not decide whether to rescue it or let the toad finish its
dinner. I pulled the pink frog out of the toad's mouth, and looked at it..
it was cute, but I didn't have anything else to give the toad, and that it
would eat the frog seemed like the natural order of things.. so I put it
back.. then reconsidered because the pink frog seemed like some kind of
exotic rare species and the toad seemed pretty ordinary. Don't remember how
the dream ended.
 Not looking for interpretations, BTW..

I also once dreamt of a white horse with Kundalini blue speckles like
delft china. It kept asking for music, in a mumbly horse voice that sounded
like Dustin Hoffman in the movie "Rain Man". It wanted the radio on. That
dream was easy to interpret.. the horse was symbolic of the body-mind,
which likes music!
 Blessings..
