Not linear, indeed... Maybe... like an old unravelling woollen sweater? 
It unravels where holes have fallen in, the spots where moths have done 
their work. 
Then later on, you decide to pull the tread on purpose, all of it, and 
recycle it into a new skein to later knit a nice little sweater for a grand 
child....

You must be right, but I did not notice, I like to think that when I 
respond, it FILLS a need... really. 
(so that a manipulative kind of neediness may disappear ;- )
