Shira, yes you're right. But I am not to that point yet. The difficulty in
holding simple poses has more to do with the weeping than with pain or
strain. :)

Hillary, I am considering what I will take up. This is definitely a call
for a change, eh?

Wim, helpful and compassionate as always. :*

Christopher, du hast recht! And what a germanic posting. :)

Rudy, yes. This seems like very good advice.

I am beginning to appreciate the "easy" or gentle way. The hard or
"intense" way is a path I have taken most of my life... and it leads to
some glorious highs and rockbottom lows. Though I have been tempted to
"just make a schedule and stick to it"... I think I will back off of yoga
for now.

Last night I began considering going back to the very beginning of my yoga
practice... starting over and starting new. Throwing out everything I have
learned thus far and becoming a beginner again. Learning anew how to sit,
breathe, move into poses. I know my body can handle -that-.

Learning something new entirely, such as Hillary recommended, has a great
appeal, as well.

peace to all
Nina
