Edwin,
I can understand where it is that your coming from, the place where desire
for liberation is soooo strong its just overwhelming. that longing, that
heart wrenching "i'll do anything for more" feelings dominates everything
in your life.
Its very very beautiful and soo benificial to be in that state. Very few
people have even the tiniest scrap of longing for god, that it is of great
fortune that someone is able to experience that longing.
My own experience with this started off just the same, adn i also started
off with judging people, andf looking and seeing if they too were longing
for god and if they had already got GOD. and mostly i was dissapointed. i
found many fakes and many people who were using spirituality as a mask for
something else, and when spirituality wo8ld fufuil what they were really
wanting, they stopped. ( i also found many genuine peolpe too)
But recently i've been practicing something in my everyday life. late last
year i was having problems with my boss, so after getting pissed off and
upsetday after day, i decided to just try to stop. and let my eyes see gods
nature in this person. and distance myself from the so called problem. i
needed to see god in this person, evern though she wouldnt see it, I had to,
so i could be peaceful, and not buy into whatever trip shewas going through,
and say to myself, it doesnt matter, she is still devine, and my duty is to
sill see that. it was hard but theres one story that really worked for me.

A man had been to an ashram for a chanting program one evening, and had had
a great experience, greatmedidtaion, and attained, for that evening, was
able to have the vision of God in everythjing around him. as he was walking
home from the ashram he remarked to himself my god you show yourself to me
in so many ways, he said hello to his God every step with everything he saw.
he then came across a dog, and instantly saw his lord and went up to his
lord and siad hello. His lord (the dog) then promtly truned around and bit
him quite hard.
the next day, he went to his teacher and explained what happened, adn asked,
"why di the lord bite me?"
the teacher said, " your vision was right, you saw the lord, in avrything
you ssaw god, and that is the highest vision one can attain, but the dog
doesnt know that, ythe dog thinks he is a dog, and so thereofore being a
dog, he bit you."

I used this story, mostly to remind myself that just becouse peoeple are
people and they do what they have to do, doesnt mean i cant see god in them
too, and doesnt mean that it isnt my god acting out all this stuff. they
themselves may not be experiencing it, but thats what i try to practice. an
if ound that my longing deepend and calmed down soo much, and became MORE
real, if that was possible, as it went deeper.
with love, Blake
