:-) Stupidly funny this type of thing :-), and almost exasperating for more
purist type of people. This type of 'rebus' spelling is also used for
license plate numbers in Canada. There are (were ?) TV quiz shows on this.
Did you notice from some of the email writers, how their written english is
showing a mix of phonetic, numeric and rebus spelling. That is not lack of
spelling skills, it may actually be a good thing... to overcome some purist
mentality, as in "good 4 you" or "4 sale" or "4 sail", 'l8r', 'tho'.

I bet you, there must be a website for this.

Some people in the 'back country' and 'city gettos' don't even know that "4
sail" can be written as "for sale."
There are some studies that place this under "evidence of increasing
iliteracy", the statistics of which are quite staggering in the USA and
other more (?) developed countries. (So bad that some 'more developed'
countries are not providing data anymore, like the USA, France, Holland).

A person over 18 years of age who does not pass a fifth grade level reading
test is considered iliterate. Only 75 % of USA citizens are considered
literate according to the National Adult Literacy survey, it is 50% of
minority groups.

Well why did I get into that? Just 'cuz !
