originated from the behavioral pattern observed
in "mental patients" by psychology types in England
which coincided with the full moon phase.

Your criminology texts seem to deny
a well documented and historical
psychological phenomena

The moon influences the movement of water
on the planet .. in the form of changing the
heights of the high and low tides.

The human body is about 78% water
and water is the element of the emotions ..

On a lighter note, it is said that the reason women
have a different body shape to that of men, is that
the water in women has a higher surface tension.
