Subject: [K-list] out of the silence for a little while

I have been doing a lot of reflection, meditation, and just plain
sitting lately.

For some reason I have been led to rescrutinize the 'reality is
illusion' new age psychobabble again.

I have been re-reading some of my nursing theories. One theorist I am
partial to is Martha Rogers. Her theory basically is that "human
beings and their environments are distinct energy fields. This is
different from the premise that all things have an energy field which
is believed to be interacting with other energy fields. Rather, all
things are energy fields and as such they are inseparable. If
everything is an energy field, everything is a manifestation of
energy. This is consistent with the alternative view that energy is
a phenomenon, which has the inherent ability to change."

So from this basic observation, whole systems of caring for others
have been created.

"Human beings participate with the environment (actually they are
inseparable from the environment) to actualize unique potentials."

"We do not use or exchange energy, rather we are unceasingly
transforming energy along with the rest of the universe.

"No continuum. No good, nor bad. Labels are nonexistent--what is
perceived as illness is still the actualizing of human potential."

Hmmmm...wouldn't it be wonderful if all health professionals took
this viewpoint?

(I bet you guys didn't know that being a nurse can be
inherently metaphysical.)

Florence Nightingale was a respected metaphysician who spent much
time exploring in Egypt it's ancient culture.)

I like her (Roger's) model of evolution, explained in the 3D sense,
which is a spiral. Each turn upward is an unique opportunity for
interaction with our enviroment. Some people choose to manifest
illness or wellness or whatever, for whatever reason, and it is a
communal, participatory process.

But, going back to illusion. I have known for a long time, years to be
exact, that I am an organizing field of consciousness interacting
with other fields of consciousness. I keep forgeting the 'liquid'
aspect of this perspective. That perspective is I am in and
inseparable from the One, multidimensional organizing (not static)
field of consciousness. I have a hard time remembering that, although
I have experienced it.

Back to the 'reality is illusion' stuff....

Reality, which people never really describe, hee hee, is real..
Falling down stairs hurt...making love is wonderful...wars happen and
people die miserably...smelling wildflowers is delightful...laughter

What I have known for a long time that Separation is an illusion only
Oneness is Real. When one knows they are Real and Unified with Self
and Environment then the world and the universe and it's inhabitants
look different. The thin veil between you and the Holy of Holies is
ripped in two.

Taking a shower, where sometimes I do my best thinking, I remembered
when, maybe eight or ten years ago, I learned from some
neurophysiology studies about Oneness.

Do you know, by looking into a baby's eyes, what separates it's
appearance from that of an adult or an elderly adult?

If you look into the eyes of a baby their irises fill the whole eye.
There is no white to be seen. As babies begin to grow, they start to
individuate themselves from their environment. The white in the eye
appears and begins to grow as they grow.

Babies know no difference between self and what surrounds them. They
are immersed in the sea of Oneness. If you want to check your
understanding about Oneness and your belief in Separation
(illusion), just look into the mirror.

I once met an intelligent, expressive 16 year old boy. There was
almost no whites to be seen in his eyes. His family was homeschooling
him and taken him on walking tours of the world since he was born.
He was precious.

Did you know the whites of the eyes will diminish as your belief and
understanding in Oneness gets re-established? "Seeing the whites of
their eyes" is reversible. I have seen it happen in others. My irises
have been slowly growing larger too...less white in them.

This was my little epiphany these last couple of days. I need them to
reinforce that I am heading into the appropriate direction...back
into the Ocean of Consciousness. (Of course, I am already there, that
illusion thing you know, but I gotta keep remembering it, remind my
cells.)
