Jesus was in the world a brief thirty two years. If you really study HIS
WORDS, you will understand that he says the same thing as the Gita. Power
mongers eventually enshrined the teachings of Jesus and twisted all that he
said and did for their own purposes. It is easy to take things out of
context and attach a very different meaning to them than originally
intended. To do so is to join the power mongers who have profited on
uttering phrases in defense of their own cruelty to others. It was not Jesus
that instigated the cruelties perpetuated in his name, but rather misguided
power mongers seeking to justify acts that stemmed from their own ego need
for power. If you must point a finger, do point it in the right direction
at the power mongers who have taken and used everything good and beautiful
as a cloak to cover their crusade for power.

In regard to the phrase about the money for the poor, how much of what Jesus
said was misinterpreted, and misquoted, by ignorant people who did not
uderstand what he was saying? "If I tell you of earthly things and you do
not understand, how will you understand if I tell you of spiritual things?"
However, enough of what Jesus said was recorded to reveal that he was a true
Yogi and a person of deep compassion.

When you look at a picture do not look at the one little apparent flaw in
the bottom corner. Step back and take a look at the entire picture, and
perhaps you will see there is no flaw. Rather than quote what someone else
has said in criticism, study intently for yourself the words of Jesus, and
not just one phrase taken out of context.
