I completely agree. If they are so enlightened, what is their excuse for the
horror commited supposedly in the name of "god"? What sort of "god" would
ask for or expect this sort of thing?
The reason the violence continues is because,yes,(i believe) we as humans
are flawed and those in positions of power in the religious sectors feel
that they are somehow above those flaws. The power they "believe" has been
bestowed upon them makes them greedy, blind and corrupt. They want everyone
to think, feel, believe, worship as they do. They use their power to
strangle, cut out, alienate, destroy, and call unholy anything they don't
believe in. The bullying practices of religion is what the Burning Times was
all about, the Crusades, what about all the others who went into different
cultures, into foreign lands and terrified, tortured, and bullied the
indiginous peoples to convert?Outlawed, literally, their religions. Even
still today you have civil unrest in some countries over religious
difference. Just look at the Irish Catholic/Protestant battles.Religion
seems to give some a big stick in which they use to bash everyone else. They
have bought into what I like to call the "Sheep Mentality". As long as you
follow blindly and do not ask questions everything is fine.organized
religion is just another form of slavery.A form of control over humans.
Where did you think the fairy tale of Satan came from? What better way to
control the masses than through utter and total FEAR!!!It worked with me as
a child with my Dad. You know, "you'd better behave or just wait till your
Father gets home!" The same thing...only on a larger scale...and apparently
the effect last longer :) LOL I mean, who wants to spend an "eternity" with
Satan in "hell"? HEE HEE
IT'S ABOUT C-O-N-T-R-O-L
Always has been.
I am always surprised at how few people really know the truth behind the
Burning Times. Women and children mostly, but men also were simply killed
for their compassion, their abilities to help others and out of FEAR.Fear
and the need to blame someone, anyone, and this will all go away. If you
only knew.
Did anyone realize a good majority of the women burned at the stake and
called "witch" were the same women that usually the entirity of a
towns-people would go to for childbirth, healing, herbs, and sometimes just
their wisdom or advice?And just look at the way they were repaid for their
knowledge and help in times of crisis.Some were not even old enough to know
what was going on. Others were completely innocent, but maybe envied for
their beauty, husbands,children, luck, or someone just wanted to rid
themselves of the competition in the town or village.
I thank the Gods and Goddesses every day that I have been given the insight
and common sense not to become a SHEEP.And the heart to forgive. But I will
never forget.
