I wasn't sure at first, but I did promise to give specifics when I found
which tribes were represented in the family.

As far as traditions are concerned, I hope I can find information on how
they dealt with issues such as (if they did at all) reincarnation, the true
origin of people (some say extraterrestrials now), and most importantly,
energy flow and kundalini. I do remember reading a book about Huna, and the
author was discussing energy centers. Interestingly enough, they were
located in different places, and I saw no mention of any kind of pathway or
coil similar to what we talk about when we talk about the kundalini.

(Part of the reason why I got into this was because much of the stuff I've
read - from Prophet to Blavatsky and on and on - can be, ummm, tainted with
"racist" thinking [for lack of better words], and for me it only gets in the
way of what I'm trying to do.)

I started looking into that while in Hawai'i almost three years ago: during
a business trip, there was a free day that co-workers and I had, and I spent
part of an afternoon at a local Borders bookstore. . . they had this section
of the store exclusively dealing with Hawaiian culture and the like. You
won't see similar on the mainland, though. Anyways, I saw a book or two
about Huna, and when I came back home, I just went on the Web, cruising for
more information. hehe, and I wonder if I was supposed to have been a
shaman or something. ;-)

I didn't even realize they talked about cording. That's the last place I'd
expect to hear that. Don't ask me why, though. That's just intuition
talking there. Anyways, I've had at least three people tell me about a cord
of some sort between me and someone I met years ago. I haven't heard from
her in a while, and I always get this feeling that I want to be with her
again. By the way, I have tried to break the connection before; it will not
go away. In fact, I've heard my inner voice refusing to do it, and, if I
try to do this at night, some interesting stuff happens.

Please share more about what you know about this. . . I wonder if it also
has any effect on a person's flow of energy.

Augustin, thanks for updating the polls! :)) and Hudson--actually I had
you

Interesting! What in these traditions are you planning to pursue? And has
anyone else followed up on "esoteric" traditions?

I heard, recently a bit about "cording" --a "Huna" tool. Does anyone know
much about this? Sounds like a good way to mystically join and also to
separate when the *joining* with another gets to be untenable. ;)
