I have had that happen too, actually. When it happened to you did it sound
as though everything is 'fast"? ( I can't explain this too well...sorry) My
mind was racing as this was happening, and I just wanted turn it off. (thus
the feeling of craziness)

At least I was at home the first time it happend to me, and thank Goddess
for that!!!. I was in high school at the time, and got SOOO freaked out that
I ended up crying. At least now when it happens, I realize it is only
temporary, and that I am not going crazy. Meditation seems to "slow" it
down. If I close my eyes, focus, and do some breathing exercises, it helps
immensely. It still happens at some VERY inopportune moments, however ( like
when I was about to give a presentation for my Abnormal Psych class last
week...hehe) Not quite as easy to breath and focus then :-)

My speach was not affected, per se, but I could not remember what I said
just moments after having said it....My short term memory was short
circuiting or something.

It can be wonderful when you think/dream of people you WANT to see!!
Dreaming of my ex-husband, however, can be rather disconcerting <grin>
